Occupational Therapy

Our Occupational Therapists (OTs) provide initial and interim evaluations of strength, joint range of motion, sensation, posture, vision, coordination, muscle tone, sensation, perceptual skills, and cognition. They will carry out a therapy program to assist you in regaining, developing, and building skills that are important for independent functioning, health, well-being and security. Treatment focuses on helping you regain greater independence with activities of daily living (ADLs). They will provide training on adaptive techniques or devices as needed, such as one-handed techniques, the use of reachers, dressing aids or environmental modifications.  They also will simulate your home environment or real life situations in our Functional Living Apartment as part of your therapy.
